Fairness Hearing of Toyota settlement will be held at 9.00. a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Ronald Reagan Federal Building and U.S. District Court, Central District of California, 411 West Fourth Street, Santa Ana, CA 92701.
Class members who have no objections to proposed settlement are not entitled to attend the Fairness Hearing. An attorney acting as a Class Counsel represents all class members and if the Court has any questions he will answer them.
On December 26, 2012 Federal Court in Santa Ana granted preliminary approval to a proposed settlement in a class-action lawsuit filed against Toyota Motor Corp. The plaintiffs claimed that their vehicles lost in value as a result of subsequent Toyota recalls due to unintended acceleration. Toyota gave its consent to pay $1.1-$1.4 billion to compensate former and current Toyota vehicle owners.
